1 How can I make our world a better place?
I strongly believe that by
Saving animals from extinction, the world will be much better place!
Who are the invaders!! Us or the animals? well here is some time to think, Well ok time is up !
The answer is us! Yes us humans.
2 Why should we care
Well the answer is yes, we should care for the animals.
To be specific we should care for our magnificent creatures and wildlife, because they are beautiful and fascinating. Every animal has a different creature power and I believe there is a lot we can learn from these animals Eg: like the basilisk lizard, who can run on water.
3 Endangered animals
Animals are endangered & soon to be extinct! Without animals we will be extinct TOO! Because they give us milk ,meat, eggs & honey . They also provide us with not just food but with animal manure, leathers, & feathers.
A list of endangered animals.
*pangolin
* Leatherback sea turtle
* Tiger
*White rhinoceros
* Chinese giant salamander
*Kiwi
* Fur seal
* Cheetah.
4 Plastic
This is a formidable material, that takes years to break down & once its released into the wild
It becomes a health threat to the animals, as they think it food & eat it!
Which is killing our beautiful animal.
Conclusion
I strongly believe if we as humans, work together to save animals From Extinction
‘THE WORLD WOULD BE
A BETTER PLACE!
In order for this to happen, we need to make better choices when it come to choosing plastic made products or similar materials.
Also need to stop logging native forests!

The Black Jaguar
By Declan Fogarty
INTRODUCTION
Have you heard of a cat that's a ninja, the Black Jaguar is almost invisible to see.
Facts
HABBTAT
He lives in the damp dark undergrowth in the rainforest, we're not much sunlight gets through the trees. He sleeps anywhere he pleases, in say this the only time she sleep in a den is when she has had a cub.
Diet
They will almost eat anything in the jungle including: spider monkeys, snakes, crocodiles, humans, tapirs and even bolid Eagles.
What does a black Jaguar
Look like?
The black Jaguar is still very similar in that they have black spot , just like the regular yellow and brown Jaguar. Their spots look like roses and are called rosettes.
Other Facts
Did you know the Jaguars can see 6 times better than humans at night or during darker conditions due to a layer of tissue in the back of their eyes, it reflects the light. Also unlike the the cat, Jaguars are not scared of the water, they are also amazing swimmers.
All too often people can be confused between the Jaguars and the Leopard, one difference is that Jaguars has a stockier build and is larger in size compared to the Leopard.
The Jaguar is the third largest cat after the tiger and the Lion. Of the three, the jaguars is the strongest!!
Conclusion
I believe the Black Jaguar is an amazing animal with even more amazing creature powers

The Orca
INTRODUCTION
The Orca is large but friendly, Orca (Killer Whale) are one of the largest dolphins and one of the most powerful predators. Orcaś are highly intelligent, social species that lives in pods and can cooperatively hunt for prey.Habitat
They live almost anywhere...Some of the places they like to live according to Seaworld in QLD Australia, Orcaś like to live in oceans and sea surrounding coastal countries. They adapt in any climate, Oraca can live in warm waters near the equator or the icy water of the north and south pole regions. They prefer deeper water but can be found in shallow bays and estuaries, and in inland seas.
What does the Killer Whale look like ?
Orca are a very beautiful mammal they are known for their long dorsal fin, black and white colouring. Behind their dorsal fin is a grey patch called a ¨saddle¨ - because it looks like a riding saddle
Diet
Orcas are apex predators, they are at the top of the food chain no other animals hunt orcas except humans. Orcas feed on seabirds,squid,octopus,sea turtles,sharks,stingrays,and fish.
More facts
Orcas are often called killer whales, though they not known to attack humans.
New Zealand is home to an estimated 150–200 individuals Orcas, which travel long distances throughout the country’s coastal waters.
Interest Fact : DID YOU KNOW ? Pods of orca are known to venture into Wellington Harbour throughout spring and summer looking for a unique food source (orcas in other parts of the world aren't known to do this), but it is rare for them to stick around.
Offspring
A female killer will give birth every 3-10 weeks to one offspring at a time, a baby Orca is called a calf. They are able 8.5 feet long.The size and weight of an adult Orca? They weight up to 6 tonnes and grow up to 23-32 feet in length , that is almost as long as a school bus.
The largest Orca ever record was 32 Feet long according to Seaworld in QLD (Australia)
Conclusion
Orcas (KILLER WHALE) are amazing animals, they have interesting ways of life.But sadly these animals are endangered. They are at risk extinction, thank goodness many governments worldwide have come to the rescue. They have banned whaling, which is the main reason of population decline. Some nation have even banned killing Orcas.
Another killer of our orcas and marine life is our household trash which ends up in their environment, and is polluting their food chain. We need to recycle and reduce our amount of waste that is killing our amazing marine life, and our beautiful clean oceans and waterways.

“Pangolins have a very poor sense of vision, so they rely heavily on smell and hearing.
Pangolins also lack teeth, therefore they have evolved other physical characteristics to help them eat ants
and termites. Their skeletal structure is sturdy and they have strong front legs that are useful for tearing
into termite mounds.They use their powerful front claws to dig into trees, ground, and vegetation to find
prey, then proceed to use their long tongues to probe inside the insect tunnels and to retrieve their prey.

Facts
- “The physical appearance of a pangolin is marked by large hardened overlapping plate-like scales,
- which are soft on newborn pangolins, but harden as the animal matures. They are made of keratin,
- the same material from which human fingernails and tetrapod claws are made. The pangolin's scaled
- body is comparable to a pine cone or globe artichoke. It can curl up into a ball when threatened, with
- its overlapping scales acting as armor, while it protects its face by tucking it under its tail. The scales
- are sharp, providing extra defense from predators.

When the Pangolin feels threatened they roll themselves up in a ball, they are also very good swimmers.
Conclusion
I think this animal look pretty prehistoric, I hope people stop hunting these special animals and stop

Profile
My name is Declan. I have a sister, a cat named Muai and a lizard called Blue. I was born in Gisborne. I love animals. My goal is to learn as much as I can about animals.
I always work hard and get jobs done.
When I'm older I am going to build a zoo. It’s is going to be called Wilderness Adventure .
We're going to have a mix of sea creatures, land creatures, and flying creatures.
I'm looking forward to the science and technology fair. I'm not sure what I'm going to do but it is going to be amazing.
